Homemade Cream Cheese Dips | 2 Ways | DIY Ingredients

Homemade Cream Cheese Dips

Dips come into the picture when we want to binge on munchies, which means we also got to be prepared for that feeling of excessive calorie intake, heaviness and guilt creeping in!

Well, there’s no reason to feel guilty no more because these dips are made with fresh homemade cream cheese, therefore, you have the option to eliminate the intake of preservatives, salt, cream, etc. that go into a store-bought pack. This cream cheese is protein-rich as it’s prepared with curdled milk (fresh cottage cheese/paneer).

Feel free to use a store-bought pack with the same ingredients. It’s going to taste equally good. The spring onion and walnut dip has subtle flavors from the stem and greens of the spring onions along with toasted garlic. Walnuts give a nice bite to the dip. The dip with tomatoes and red onions is slightly pungent, also because of the green chilli of which I kept the seeds intact. Feel free to adjust the quantities to your liking. We had these dips with beetroot and cucumber sticks. Serve it up with your favorite foods.

If you’re using homemade cream cheese, you can also use these dips as a sandwich spread. They taste great in a grilled or on an open toast sandwich just like the one in the picture below. I toasted it on both sides. Make sure to use a non-stick pan to avoid kitchen disasters ;). Also, make sure to be creative and follow your taste buds. 🙂

Happy Cooking 🙂
